Park Facilities

City parks are open by ordinance from 5:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Responsible drinking is permitted in most parks in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes, Chapter 125 (alcoholic beverages are prohibited in Veteran's Memorial Park). Park disturbances or the possibility of underage drinking will be addressed by the Superior Police Department. Pavilions are available for reservation beginning January 2 (or the first working day thereafter) of each year on a first-come, first-served basis. Fees are nonrefundable and are as follows: $50 for all facilities in Billings Park as well as Barker's Island. Smaller pavilions are $25. Electricity if available is an extra $5. These prices apply to City of Superior residents/groups/businesses. Fees are double for non-residents. If you would like to reserve a pavilion/park, click on the park you are interested in and you will be able to view the calendar and see all reservations to check to see if the date you would like is available. There are standing events annually at the Barker's Island Pavilion making certain dates not available for reservation.  Also, the Barker's Island Farmer's Market is held from 8 a.m. - noon every Saturday in the parking lot near the pavilion, from late May - late October.

The pavilion is available for reservation beginning January 2 (or the first working day thereafter) of each year on a first-come, first-served basis.   You must call and speak with park & recreation staff to make your reservation.  No reservations may be made by email or by leaving a voicemail.  Your reservation form will be mailed to you and must be returned with payment within 10 days or your reservation will be released to another party.

If you are a City of Superior resident, the fee to rent the pavilion is $50.00.  If you need electricity it is an extra $5 and you must pick up a key for the electrical box prior to your event.  Fees are double for non-residents.
