City Clerk


The Mayor, with Common Council approval, appoints the City Clerk, who administers the office in an efficient and responsive manner to create the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

The City Clerk's Office provides the following quality services to the Mayor, Common Council, staff, and the public:

  • Composes and notices agendas for Common Council and other city meetings
  • Provides record-keeping services, including a legal document archive
  • Performs research to aid the Council and other departments in drafting legislative and/or administrative documents
  • Administers elections, and educates voters about the Wisconsin election process
  • Issues over 40 City and State licenses
  • Maintains web pages for the Council, Clerk and Election functions
  • Handles annual Assessment Board of Review process 
  • Serves as a liaison to Public, Education Government Access (PEGA) cable television production & regulation
  • Provides Notary Service free of charge
