Upcoming 2021 Garbage Route Changes

Garbage and Recycling Collection Routes Are Changing

August 2nd, 2021!

In an effort to streamline garbage collection routes and improve efficiency, the City of Superior is making some changes to the current garbage and recycling routes.

Beginning Monday August 2nd 2021   your pickup day for garbage and recycling may change. Not all residents will experience a change in pickup days.

Reminder: Garbage and Recycling carts must be placed out for pickup no later than 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled pickup day. Later placement may result in your garbage not being emptied.

Important Reminders Regarding Garbage Pick Up:

  • Holiday Schedules can be found on the Main Garbage Page
  • Garbage Pickup is Weekly, Recycling is Every Other Week.
  • Click HERE to read the city ordinance regarding garbage.
  • Containers must be placed at the curb or alley for pick up by 7:00am on collection day.
  • Make sure the front of the can faces the alley or street and is away from any obstacles (vehicles, poles, fences, trees, wires, garages, other cans, etc.). The cart does need to be 3 feet from obstacles to be emptied.
  • Make sure the garbage is in leak-proof bags. All animal waste/feces must be securely bagged.
  • Do not overfill or pack items in the carts and lids must be closed. They will not dump properly and could result in your garbage not being dumped or garbage on the ground which you will be responsible for.
