Our 2023 car seat check up schedule has been set. Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer drop in car seat installations. For assistance installing a car seat, please attend one of the free area clinics.
We work with Duluth Fire Department & Cloquet Area Fire District to try to insure that there are 3 car seat clinics in the Northland each month, so if you can't make it to ours, there are other options. Safe Kids NE Minnesota posts upcoming area car seat check up events on their Facebook page, along with other great safety tips for children, so give them a follow for some excellent safety information. The Fire Department has been offering citizens car seat installation assistance since 2004 . Our technicians must attend a 40 hour class and pass a written test to become certified to install car seats. We do not provide car seats, however we suggest you check with your health insurance company as some providers do offer assistance.
Check out this publication to see if your car seat is on the recall list.
