  4. The St. Louis River National Water Trail Planning Project Notice of Public Meeting

    July 27, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM @ Superior Public Library meeting room

    The City of Duluth and its Partners including the City of Superior are working with local stakeholders to plan and apply for a National Water Trail designation. The groups will continue to reach out to existing and potential partners throughout the summer of 2016, including fishing groups, motorized groups and any other stakeholders that are interested in supporting or commenting on the project. The planning for the application for the St. Louis River Water Trail is in process, with an anticipated completion date in September of 2016. Once the plan is finished an application for designation will be submitted for designation by the National Parks Service.

  7. "Fighting for Friends" Walk/Run

    July 30, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Osaugie Trail

    This walk/run will begin on the Osaugie Trail behind McDonald's on E. 2nd Street and continue to Barker's Island Festival Park. This walk/run is a fundraiser hosted by two 3rd grade students, Evy Keppers and Kiana Starstead, in an effort to raise money to help fight childhood cancer. The fee is $3 per person or $10 for a group of four. Register ahead of time at FightingForFriendsSuperior@gmail.com or the morning of the event. Donations will also be accepted the day of or can be mailed to SCCU Fighting for Friends 2817 Tower Ave., Superior, WI 54880. Proceeds will go towards buying toys for children on the pediatric cancer floors in the Duluth hospitals and to help fund research that is searching for a cure to cancer.

    Come join the fun of this street dance with live music, food, great drink specials, and much more! Music by the Rock Brigade will go from 8PM to midnight. The band will also feature special guest Brent Muscat (ex-Faster Pussycat). Money raised from gate admission will go to help support SHS athletic and academic teams. So show your support for Superior High School and bring your friends.

A public meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at the Superior Public Library meeting room (1530 Tower Avenue Superior, WI). The planning for the application for the St. Louis River Water Trail is in process, with an anticipated completion date in September of 2016. Once the plan is finished an application for designation will be submitted for designation by the National Parks Service.
