More… The City of Superior Environmental Services Division (ESD) is conducting a study to determine the amount of clearwater removed from residential homes through basement sump pumps. The study area is associated with planned sewer rehabilitation efforts parallel to Newton Creek. Your help is requested to assist in assessing the amount of clearwater that is pumped from your basement sumps. A small totalizer meter will record how long your sump pump runs during the summer and fall months. The total gallons then will be calculated. Information from the survey and totalizer will only be used for quantifying sump pump discharge and evaluating rehabilitation projects. No further actions from homeowners will be required as a result of participation in the survey or study.Less…
