Changes to the North 21st Street Boat Launch dock

Before mid-October, changes will be made to the North 21st Street boat launch.  As we recently made changes, and plan to modify it again based on feedback, we are hoping to get the word out in advance.  The canoe/kayak stabilizer portion of the current dock will be removed and relocated to Woodstock Bay Landing (and the end of North 28th Street). This ADA accessible dock, which is specifically designed for launching canoes and kayaks, makes getting into them quick and simple while staying dry even as water levels change.  Woodstock Bay will be the City’s first designated non-motorized, primitive launch site.  We encourage all paddlers to check it out!

The new dock (without the kayak/canoe launch) will remain at North 21st Street.  It will be shifted to the left (if you’re facing it), to allow for launching motorized boats on both sides of the dock as people were accustomed to.

We are excited to offer these new docks to both our motorized and non-motorized water enthusiasts.  We thank you for your patience as we make these changes!
